Where lack of calories is not an issue, a properly balanced diet (in addition to exercise) is also thought to be important for lowering health risks, such as obesity,heart diseasetype 2 diabeteshypertension and cancer.[2]
Various nutrition guides are published by medical and governmental institutions to educate the public on what they should be eating to promote health. Nutrition facts labels are also mandatory in some countries to allow consumers to choose between foods based on the components relevant to health.

Travel and Living Channel was launched in 2004, formerly it was known as the Discovery Travel and Adventure Channel. Programming on the channel consists primarily of travel and lifestyle, and consists mainly of programming seen on the flagship Travel Channel in the United States with the branding derived from the US version of The Learning Channel.
It was formerly available on SelecTV from March 2007 until the closure of its English service in late 2010.[1][2]
On 1 September 2010, Discovery Travel & Living rebranded as TLC. Unlike the channel TLC in the United States, the TLC service in Australia is an acronym for "Travel and Living Channel", instead of being a meaningless acronym (though it originally stood for "The Learning Channel" in the U.S.), and airs none of the U.S. service's programming. The channel also converted to 16:9 aspect ratio during the conversion.[3]
